With a special emphasis on training psychological skills, our method involves identifying and improving within the core areas of need, laying the foundations for peak performance on competition day.

Meet the coach

Juan Francisco Rueda

Hi there!  

 

I'm Juan Francisco, Founder and Performance Coach here at Dale! I'm deeply passionate about sports and dedicated to helping individuals unlock their full potential.​

 

Originally educated as an Economist, I made the leap from the startup tech world to focus on helping high-performance athletes learn the skills and tools necessary to overcome the mental barriers that often limit their capabilities.

 

​I'm a Tennis Coach and hold a Master's degree in Sports Coaching & Psychology of High Performance. With over 15 years of tennis experience and another 8 in running, including road and mountain marathons, I truly understand the commitment, work, and dedication required to excel in sports.​

 

What sets me apart as a coach is not just my expertise but, most importantly, my genuine care for people. I'm a keen listener, empathetic, and I place the utmost importance on building trust with my athletes. I'm truly excited to collaborate with and help the athletes who decide to work with us.​

Our methodology

We collaborate with the athletes to ensure focused training on areas that drive results on competition day. Simultaneously, we consider the bigger picture, equipping athletes with tools and knowledge for long-term success. We do this by individualised training plans consisting on a continuos loop of testing, training, and tracking, fostering mutual accountability for agreed-upon results.

Testing

We work together with the athlete and their team to identify the most significant areas impacting performance that require attention and improvement.

Training

Specific mental and performance training tailored to the individual, integrated into individualized training plans and periodized according to the competition calendar of the athlete.

Tracking

Constant monitoring of progress; at the end of each training cycle, we revisit results and goals, evaluate, learn, and embark on the next training cycle.
